Nature is for everyone — especially you
Nature Companions is designed for people who want a gentler, more supportive way to connect with the natural world. Our guided programs are slow, sensory‑friendly, trauma‑informed, and paced for comfort. We welcome all adults, and we specialize in serving people for whom outdoor experiences might be a challenge. You don’t need outdoor experience, fitness, or confidence. There’s no pressure to know plant names. You’re welcome exactly as you are. Allow us to guide you.

🌱 For Neurodivergent Adults
A sensory‑friendly, predictable way to be outdoors
Many neurodivergent adults have been told or felt that nature is overwhelming, unsafe, or “not for them.” Nature Companions offers a different experience: slow pacing, clear structure, gentle invitations, and full permission to participate in the way that feels right. You are guided, not forced, in any activity.
We support:
- Sensory sensitivities
- Social anxiety
- Executive functioning challenges
- Need for predictability and choice
- Stimming, movement, and quiet time
You can talk, not talk, wander, sit, or simply notice. There is no pressure to perform or mask.
🌿 For Seniors
Connection, companionship, and ease
Our programs offer gentle movement, grounding, and companionship for older adults who want to enjoy nature without rushing or strain. We choose accessible routes, offer seating options, and move at a pace that honors the body’s needs.
Seniors often join us for:
- Gentle exercise
- Social connection
- Emotional well‑being
- Creative expression
- A sense of belonging
You’re invited to participate in whatever way feels comfortable.
🌲 For Veterans
Grounding, calm, and emotional safety
Nature Companions offers trauma‑informed, low‑pressure nature experiences for veterans and active‑duty family members. Sessions focus on grounding, sensory awareness, and emotional regulation — without clinical language or expectations.
We honor:
- Autonomy
- Choice
- Privacy
- Rest
- The need for spaciousness and quiet
You’re welcome to move at your own pace, take breaks, or simply be present.
🌼 For Caregivers
A place to exhale
Caregivers often carry emotional and physical load that goes unseen. Our programs offer a space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself through gentle nature experiences.
You can come alone or with the person you support. Both are welcome.
🌄 For People New to Nature
No experience needed — truly
If you’ve ever felt unsure, intimidated, or out of place in outdoor spaces, you’re not alone. Nature Companions is designed for beginners, returners, and anyone who wants a softer entry into nature connection.
We offer:
- Clear guidance
- Predictable structure
- Gentle invitations
